Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is the world's largest electronic music conference and festival, drawing over 550,000 music enthusiasts to Amsterdam each October. Spanning five days and nights, ADE features more than 1,000 events at nearly 200 locations, showcasing a diverse range of electronic music. The event has evolved from a small conference in 1996 to a global phenomenon. At its core is the ADE Conference, which attracts 9,000 industry professionals, and the ADE Festival, which brings together over 200 clubs and cultural institutions for a city-wide celebration of electronic music and arts.

Early ticket personalisation

For most B2B conferences, a significant part of the value lies in the connections made between attendees. At ADE, attendees can engage with each other before and after the conference through the online ADE Pro database; however, most Pro Pass Holders only complete their profiles during the conference, limiting pre-event networking and the opportunity to arrange relevant meetings beforehand.
Solution:
Collecting detailed attendee information in advance

Eventix introduced a ticket personalisation feature allowing buyers to personalise their tickets before or after purchase. Those who personalised before purchase received a slight discount, leading to 86% of attendees completing their profiles early. This enabled ADE to fill the online ADE Pro database with their Pro Pass Holders’ contact information before the event, facilitating communication and networking weeks before the conference. Additionally, early personalisation provided ADE with valuable data for refining marketing efforts and conference programming - all without compromising ticket shop conversion.

Integrated ticket shop tracking

With many events to explore, ADE needed a streamlined ticket purchasing process to allow visitors to browse events and tickets. Simultaneously, ADE aimed at improving data collection and CRM integration to better understand customer behaviour and personalise communications.
Solution:
Integrated Floating Shop and CRM System

Eventix integrated a floating shop feature into the ADE website, allowing visitors to browse events effortlessly while making multiple purchases. The floating shop was fully branded, providing a consistent experience across events. Additionally, Eventix integrated ADE’s ticket shop with its CRM system, facilitating smooth data synchronisation and enhanced website tracking. This enabled ADE to connect marketing tools with the ticket shop and boost marketing capabilities, such as targeted campaigns and higher engagement metrics.

Badge printing & entrance management

With thousands of attendees arriving across multiple events in a short period, ADE required a fast and reliable method for on-site entry to minimise queues and ensure a smooth flow.
Solution:
Streamlined ticket-to-badge system

Eventix introduced a badge printing system that enabled attendees to exchange their e-tickets for wristbands and personalised badges at designated centres throughout Amsterdam. This "scan, print, and go" system significantly reduced entry times to just 10 seconds per attendee, allowing more time for personal interactions between attendees and hosts. The Eventix scan app and dashboard provided easy management of this process, and dedicated on-site support ensured swift resolution of any issues, helping to reduce long queues and enhance the overall experience.

NEW: Festival Access Map

The ADE Pro Pass grants access to a large number of events across Amsterdam. ADE wanted to ensure that Pro Pass holders can easily find ongoing events at any given time and secure entry to their preferred ones, without the risk of being turned away due to capacity limits.

Introducing the Festival Access Map

Eventix collaborated with ADE to develop the Festival Access Map, a comprehensive and user-friendly tool designed to enhance the attendee experience. This innovative map provides real-time updates on event availability, helping attendees effectively plan their schedules and easily navigate the festival. By offering up-to-date information on event status and access, the Festival Access Map ensures Pro Pass holders can maximise their festival experience and avoid the frustration of missed opportunities.
