How do I sell tickets for my event through Spotify?
Find out how to promote your event and start selling tickets for your event through Spotify.
Our integration with Spotify allows event organisers to upload the details of their event into Spotify. Spotify will promote the event on the relevant artists’ pages and allow interested listeners to purchase tickets.
How to upload your event to Spotify
1. Go to the App Library.
2. Select the ‘Spotify Ads’-app.
3. Click on Open app and log in with your Eventix credentials.
4. On this page, you can see an overview of your ad requests. To create a new request, click on Create Spotify ad.
5. Now, select one of your events from the Select an Event dropdown menu. Once you’ve selected your event, the tool will auto-fill your event details from our system.
6. Select your Event category.
7. Next, select your ticket and the ticket value. We recommend using your general admission tickets here.
8. You must now select a venue. The venues must be chosen from the available database, and you can select a venue by looking for it in the search bar. If you can’t find your venue in the list, you can add your venue to the database by following these steps.
Eventix tip
If your venue is not available for selection, you can add it to Spotify through JamBase. JamBase is Spotify’s official integration partner, so you will need to create an account on their platform to add venues.
9. You can now start adding your artists by searching for them in the search bar. These must be artists who have music available on Spotify, and you must select at least one artist.
10. Next, you must add the artist IDs to Spotify. To do so, open Spotify and navigate to the artist’s profile.
11. Click on the three dots below the artist’s name and select Copy link to artist.
12. Paste the link and select the section from the image below:
13. This string of characters is the artist ID. Paste it into the artist ID section.
14. You can now select whether each artist is a Headliner or a Supporting act.
15. Now click on Create ad.
16. Congratulations, you’ve created your first ad request. Our team will contact you to let you know if your request has been approved.
