More and more organisers are using Snapchat as a method to promote their events. Generally speaking, organisers tease their events, line-up and other activities on Snapchat, but how do you sell tickets through Snapchat?

How do I sell tickets through Snapchat?

Snapchat is an image and video-based platform that currently doesn’t support the integration of your ticket shop. However, you can link to your ticket shop through 3-10 second video advertisements on the platform. Snapchat's users can then swipe up anytime during the video to go straight to your ticket shop.

If you would like to sell tickets organically, you can also share a link to your ticket shop in your Snapchat story when you’re uploading a snap.

Here’s how you can add a link to your Snapchat story:

  1. In Snapchat, open your Snapchat camera and take a picture or record a video

  2. Click on the paperclip icon on the right

  3. Paste the link to your ticket shop in the URL bar

  4. Click on the ‘Attach to Snap’ button

  5. Back in the Snapchat camera, check if the paperclip at the bottom is circled in white. This means the link was successfully attached to the snap.

  6. Finish personalising your snap

  7. Share your snap
