How do I connect server-side tracking for the Facebook Conversion API?

In the Connections section of your dashboard, you can now connect directly to the Facebook Conversion API and Google Ads. This also opens the possibility of implementing server-side tracking to improve data accuracy on your advertisement and analytics accounts.

How to connect server-side tracking for the Facebook Conversion API

1. In the Eventix dashboard, go to Connections.

2. In Connections, you can create custom connections with Eventix and other tools. To utilise the preconfigured server-side tracking settings, click Solutions.

3. Here, you can select the tool to send the server-side tracking data to. For this example, we will be selecting the Facebook Conversions API. Click on Install.

4. Click on Continue.

5. Next, click on Grant access.

6. Now, you’ll need to give your connection a name. You can leave the pre-configured name if you like and click on Continue.

7. Click on Grant access and log in with your Facebook credentials.

8. Select your Eventix account, Facebook Conversions API, Business Manager, and Pixel. Then click on Continue.

9. You just successfully set up your connection!

10. The last step is to enable your connection using the slider on the right side. Click on it so it turns green.

How do I set up the embedded integration to track Facebook conversions from my website to my Eventix shop?

For this integration to work, it is essential that the fbclid (Facebook Click Identifier) parameter is present on the page directing traffic to your Eventix shop. For example, if a Facebook ad campaign sends users to the homepage of your website, ensure that the ?fbclid= parameter is passed along to the /shop page as well. This enables accurate conversion tracking through our server-side implementation.

Why am I not receiving any conversions?

A common reason for missed conversions is the absence of the Facebook Click Identifier (fbclid) when the purchase is made. To troubleshoot this, navigate to My installations under Solutions in the Connections sections of Eventix. Locate your Google Ads installation, and review the installation log by clicking the log icon. This log provides insights into issues that may prevent conversion tracking.
