How do I connect server-side tracking for Google ads?
In the Connections section of your dashboard, you can now connect directly to Google Ads and the Facebook Conversion API. This also opens the possibility of implementing server-side tracking to improve data accuracy on your advertisement and analytics accounts.
How to connect server-side tracking for Google ads
1. First, we need to create a custom conversion for the Google Ads Manager. To do this, navigate to the Conversion Actions setting in Google Ads.
2. Click on Create conversion action.
4. Select CRMs, files or other data sources and Track conversions from clicks. In the Data Source section, you can select “Skip this step and set up a data source later”. Then click on Continue.
5. Select “Purchase” as your Conversion Goal and name your conversion something like “Eventix Shop”. Then click on Add, and then Save and Continue.
7. In your Eventix dashboard, go to “Connections.”
8. Here, you can create custom connections with Eventix and other tools. To utilise the preconfigured server-side tracking settings, click on “Solutions”.
9. Here, you can select the tool to send the server-side tracking data to. For this example, we will be selecting Google Ads. Click on Install.
11. Click on Grant access.
12. Now, you’ll need to give your connection a name. You can leave the pre-configured name if you like and click on Continue.
13. Click on Grant access and log in with your Google credentials.
14. Select your Eventix Account and Client ID. Then, name your Google Connection and click on Continue.
15. Now you’ll need to connect this to the conversion action that you created earlier. To do this, click on the gear icon.
16. Scroll down to Step 4 “Google Ads: Send offline conversions”, and click on the gear icon.
17. In the “Conversion name” field, you can now select the conversion action you created earlier in your Google Ads account. Once you’ve selected it, click on Save.
18. Next, click on Start.
19. You just successfully set up your connection!

How do I set up the embedded integration to track Google Ads conversions from my website to my Eventix shop?
For this integration to work, it is essential that the gclid (Google Click Identifier) parameter is present on the page directing traffic to your Eventix shop. For example, if a Google Ads campaign sends users to the homepage of your website, ensure that the ?gclid= parameter is passed along to the /shop page as well. This enables accurate conversion tracking through our server-side implementation.
Why am I not receiving any conversions?
A common reason for missed conversions is the absence of the Google Click Identifier (gclid) when the purchase is made. To troubleshoot this, navigate to My installations under Solutions in the Connections sections of Eventix. Locate your Google Ads installation and review the installation log by clicking the log icon. This log provides insights into issues that may prevent conversion tracking.
Another possible reason the automation may not be working is that it is not enabled. Make sure you have enabled the automation under ‘My installations’.
