Festivals, congresses and theme parks are just a small selection of the many events you and I buy tickets for. In order to buy tickets we usually use a ticketing platform, but what is a ticketing platform? And what does Eventix’s ticketing platform have to offer?
Using a ticketing platform comes with a lot of advantages. One way to go about it is to take your cash register and set up shop at the entrance to your event. This way you could make visitors pay one by one as they enter. But we’re in the twenty-first century and there are much better ways of doing this!
A ticketing platform represents more than just the selling of tickets: It’s a service that gives event organisers peace of mind. What’s more, is that there are a number of advantages to using a ticketing platform over on-site sales: It’s much safer and less susceptible to fraud.
Visitors receive their tickets in their mailbox right away and the tickets can be scanned directly from their phone.
Whether a visitor wants to purchase a ticket at 7 in the morning or 11 in the evening; an online ticketing system is always open.
Eventix’ ticketing platform offers a flexible, user-friendly and quick way to sell tickets. The most important thing to note is that Eventix is a self-service platform. The Eventix Dashboard and the corresponding guides in the Eventix Help Centre ensure that an event organiser can get started on their own.
The Eventix ticketing platform comes with a number of possibilities. You can change the colours of a ticket shop, upload a custom ticket image, as well as offer all sorts of additional deals such as coupons and additional products in your ticket shop. Our platform is bursting with useful features for you to use.
We’ve written about flexible payouts in the past. We think payments through Eventix should go smoothly; that’s why pay out your ticket revenue on a weekly basis. This is our standard frequency for payouts. Some organisers have a strong preference when it comes to their payouts, so our ticketing platform allows them to pick the frequency they prefer.
Unlike other ticketing platforms, any visitor data you’ve collected through Eventix is yours to keep. This data is invaluable for marketing purposes if you want to show ads on Facebook or use Direct Mailing to keep people updated about your event, for instance.
As an event organiser, you can add optional products such as coins, parking tickets and camping tickets to a ticket shop. You can keep this neat and tidy by using Collapses, which allows you to add tickets to different sections and to sort them accordingly.
Eventix’s ticketing platform is set up in such a way that the opportunities to commit fraud are very limited and will remain so. One of the most effective measures we’ve taken is our integration with TicketSwap, and in particular the SecureSwap feature they offer. SecureSwap ensures that a new QR-code is printed onto any second-hand Eventix Ticket and that the QR-code from the original ticket is invalidated.
We’re continually developing new ways to prevent fraud from occurring. Next to offering a ticketing platform, we try to help organisers with the question of how to sell more tickets by writing blogs about event marketing, for example. We believe in our organisers and will do everything within our power to help them sell as many tickets as possible. To achieve this, we listen to their needs and wishes.
Sometimes visitors ask if they should print their ticket. They don’t have to, and we always recommend they use the digital version.
If you zoom in on a ticket, you’ll see that the font isn’t solid, but is made up of little circles. We do this so that if someone does print their ticket, they save a little bit of ink. Every little helps.
